1) I think my macbook hard drive just died. When I turn on the computer a folder and a questionmark flashes. The computer makes some ticking noises. I know I probably need a new hard drive, but do you think it might be possible to save some of the informaion stored on the computer? How long do you think this would take and much do you think it would cost?
2) The right hand speaker of my Macbook pro 15" 2008 version has stopped working . I am looking for a same day repair because I can't do without it because of work and I don't have a backup mac. If I bring it to Leeds , can you repair it?
3) IMac screen illegible. just get strange small rectangles on start up. 3 and a half years old , so no longer under applcare. Can you help?
4) I have an iMac which was purchased around 2 years 4 months ago which has been, for the last couple of weeks, getting more and more solid vertical lines down the screen, which are different colours.I know this is a well-known problem through searching on the internet for a resolution, and I'm guessing people will have got in touch about this previously. Do I have to buy a new LCD screen for this problem or is it related to any other hardware? If so, how much would this cost?I live in the UK, and the iMac is the last generation Intel version which has a 17inch screen if this information assists you. Please let me know asap.
5) just wanted to update you on the Mac problems, as it's probably Tim who will be dropping it off next week. Recently if a few applications were open it would freeze (that annoying colour wheel comes up!) and a message saying 'disk full'. I'd have to close some things down to continue. On Wednesday I downloaded some video footage and it seems worse since then, very slow and the colour wheel constanlty appearing, but there's supposedly still 21GB of memory free. This morning it froze and wouldn't reopen when I closed it down. We're away for the weekend, so I'll leave it and try again on Monday. Hope you can help! thanks.
